Dear Friends of the Children and Youth at Safe Harbor,
Our children do not deserve to be physically, sexually, or emotionally abused or neglected. Our programs are at the forefront of prevention. We have a proven track record over the past six years for success in our intervention approach, “Taming the Dragons.” Please help us continue this strategy to protect our children.
It has been almost three years since we have gone to the community to ask for funding for our programs. However due to the down turn in the economy, state funds for our parenting classes have been slashed, revenue at the thrift store is static, and the region is inundated with appeals.
All of this comes at a time when the need for our services is increasing dramatically….
We are a local, non-affiliated, non-profit organization that has been supported by the community for more than 13 years. You can help by sending a donation today. If you have been “one of our children” during your lifetime, you understand the long term consequences of being raised by an alcoholic, mentally ill or drug addicted parent, suffering physical, sexual or emotional abuse or neglect, growing up in a household with an incarcerated parent, or the feelings connected to being abandoned by your mother or father.
Please help us with a cash donation, volunteering for our programs, providing in kind donations of food or supplies, or helping out at the Sails Outlet Thrift Store.
Our children need YOU today.
Sincerely,
Sue Delucchi Executive Director
